Cookies and storage
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage is a related technology that lets a site keep information on your device. DareBattle uses both, sparingly and only to make the site work. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and nothing here follows you on other websites.
What we use and why
Log-in cookies (strictly necessary). Joining and logging in are handled by our server. When you log in, the server sets one cookie that keeps you logged in until you log out or close your browser, and briefly uses a second one to pass your account details to your browser; that second cookie is removed within two minutes. Without these, logging in can't work.
Browser storage. Your Battle Token balance, rewards and progress, a copy of your name and screen name for greeting you, your break-reminder preference, whether you've seen this cookie notice, and the start time of your current visit are kept in your browser so the games and rewards work on that device. The visit timer is cleared when you close the tab; the rest stays until you clear the site's data.
Nothing else. Your account itself is stored on our server, not in your browser, and the contact form is processed by our server — no cookies or storage are involved in sending a message.
Third parties
Fonts come from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when they load. If you use Continue with Google, Google may set its own cookies on google.com as part of that sign-in. Our host may set strictly necessary technical cookies for security or performance. The embedded games are served from our own domain and share the site's browser storage so they can use your Battle Token wallet.
Managing cookies and storage
You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser settings — look for "Cookies and site data", "Site settings" or "Clear browsing data". Clearing data for darebattle.com logs you out and permanently removes the Battle Token wallet and progress kept on that browser; your account itself stays on our server and you can log back in any time. Blocking cookies completely stops logging in from working, and blocking storage may stop rewards from working.
